Thanks to the experience Heiz has made in the production of the benchtop series machines, the RaptorX series have a wealth of design advantage over conventional CNC machines in this class.
The all important construction of the frames is the secret to a reliable and accurate CNC platform that will perform its function flawlessly.
The main features of this construction are the Aluminum extrusions used to manufacture the machine. The X-Axis is constructed from 180mm x 90mm Aluminum extrusion and the bridge has a double frame of 180mm x 45mm extrusion for strength and stability. The frame is constructed out of 160mm x 40mm Aluminum profiles.
The open frame construction technique allows for large size materials to be accommodated in the cutting area allowing objects to be placed well below the cutting area and to be milled in 3D.
The flat bed hight is adjustable from between 100mm to about 800mm from the cutting head, allowing maximum usage of the bridge clearance for large or bulky materials as well as giving maximum stability and accuracy when routing flat materials.
Vibration has been eliminated by the unique drive construction of the RaptorX series machines. This also allows an extremely high traverse speed by the machines. A maximum of 42 metres per minute can be achieved using the Heiz CAD/CAM software package.
The machines are constructed from materials manufactured in Germany and Switzerland. This guarantees superior quality and workmanship.
